Growth of Syringe Service Programs in the US

"The findings in this report indicate that, in 2008, the number of SEPs and the number of syringes exchanged remained similar to recent years, in contrast to a period of rapid growth from the mid-1990s through the early 2000s. Budgets for SEPs increased from 1994–1995 through 2008, with the majority of funds coming from public sources."
